We cordially invite you to our unique art event with a great cause!
Artbonds is a multidisciplinary art event that builds bridges between people from different cultures through all kinds of art: paintings, music, theatre and dance.

Art in all its forms: paintings, music, theatre, film or photography is a powerful communication tool. Therefore, in our premier event we would like to combine all of them. Our artists are from all over the world. They perform to represent their culture and share their life experience.

Our program on that evening will be:

18:30 – 19:00 Exhibition opens, artists Chris Delias & Olesya (Danilenko) Kitzler
19:30 – 19:50 Hilde Dalik & chong, „Romeo and Juliet freestyle“
20:00 – 22:00 Live music, soul band 27 Beats

Artists:

Hilde Dalik and her foundation c h o n g *
Young actors with refugee experience at the age between 16 and 21 interpret William Shakespeare’s „Romeo and Juliet“. The focus is on personal views of love and hate, friendship and hostility or violence between families through modern and traditional dance and singing (Afghan folk songs, pop, etc.) They also bring their very personal stories in multiple languages (English, German, Dari, Pashto, etc.) by diverse forms of expression on stage.

This soul band embodies a balanced mix of soul, funk, R & B. Their lead singer Didier Uwayo is from Rwanda and lives in Vienna for many years by now.

“For me the spotlight is on the beauty of humanity, it’s my first priority – emotions caused by love, music and harmony. But it is not only the sunny side of the world that will be represented in my art – people do not just love one another – they hate and fight – they lose, they feel intense pain, experience crushing war and destruction, all of which are part of human interaction and which will feature in my art.”

Olesya K
Having migrant background herself Olesya tries to reflect the idea of global community in her art works and what it’s like being a global citizen.
