“A DRY ROTATING PLANT ON THE BALCONY“ – piece for five performers.
Every gesture transforms into the sound, movement and image. There is no roles, no devision between an object, a performer, a listener. There is no distance. If you turn your head to one side, something happens on the other side: everything is breathing.

JOHANNA NIELSON (AT) wants to dance about questions. She studied contemporary dance and dancepedagogy in Linz. Johannas work involves dance and movement, videos, spoken words and Rap. She creates fluid formats, in which various disciplines encounter and perceptions are challenged. Amongst others she performed with Oleg Soulimenko, Claire Levefre, Florentina Holzinger, Peaches and Keith Hennessy. In collaborations she works with Agnes Schneidewind, the Phoenix Baroque Austria Ensemble or Julia Danzinger. As pedagogue she is motivated to facilitate whole-body-experiences and experiments. She got the DanceWEB scholarship at ImpulsTanz 2017, is working for Im_flieger – Independent Artists’ Association and is a member of ttp/WUK.

DARIO FARIELLO is a saxophonist and violist devoted to improvised music. He studied musicology at the University of Bologna, where he co-founded the Bologna improvisers Orchestra. After touring extensively in Europe and in the United States with the jazz-core band Luther Blissett, he moved to Berlin in 2011 to work with Tristan Honsinger and the dj Eren Ileri; he co-founded Multiversal, a nomad festival series featuring a wide international network of improv and noise musicians. Now based in Oslo, his current projects include: ZGB, Sciardac, Farantimm, Resurgam, Wolf and the gang, FarLie, Prestekveler, In Its Own Tempo.
He has collaborated with: Gino Robair, Eugene Chadbourne, Butch Morris, James Brown, Calle Neumann, Tristan Honsinger, Alexei Borisov, Olga Nosova, Mia Zabelka, Agnes Hvizdalek, Tomomi Adachi, Kenji Kuroda, Ilia Belorukov, Alexander Chernyshkov, Marina Poleukhina, Harri Sjöström, Steve Heather.
With Norbert Stammberger he organises the yearly festival Tubax Super Session in Munich, dedicated to the tubax saxophone and other special instruments.

STEFAN VOGLSINGER is an improviser and performer based in Vienna/Austria.
He studied drums, music & movement pedagogy and sound for films in Cuba.
Voglsinger focuses on interdisciplinary experiments and works with sound and image, developing performances or audiovisual installations including selfbuilt or hacked electronic circuits. This leads to many collaborations with different artists and collectives in Austria and abroad as well as projects including film, dance and theatre. At Setzkasten Wien he modifies analog film projectors, works in the darkroom and the sound studio. As a curator he organizes regularly exhibitions, concerts and gives Circuit Cooking soldering workshops in schools, associations and festivals.

ALEXANDER CHERNYSHKOV is a composer, performer and improviser. Graduated in composition at the Vienna Musik Universität in the class of Chaya Czernowin, Karlheinz Essl and Clemens Gadenstätter. His compositions are performed in numerous festivals by ensembles such as musikFabrik, Nikel, Phace, MCME (Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble) during festivals like Wien Modern 2008, Donaueschingen Musiktage-Off-Programm, Platforma (Moscow), Unsafe Sounds (Vienna), Izlog Suvremennog Zvuka (Zagreb). He worked with musicians like Natalia Pschenitschinikowa, Carl Rosman, Vincent Daoud.
As performer and improviser he co-founded the experimental duo O I O with Marina Poleukhina. His records are published by labels „PanYrosas“ and „TOPOT“ and count several albums “Puinen Neon Itku”, „Songs about trees“ „Partly cloudy“. He is a frequent guest at numerous free improvisation festivals like Multiversal (Berlin-Copenhagen), Velak (Vienna), TurnTheCorner (Vienna).
He experiments and builds instruments of strictly acoustical and mechanical origin using long tubes to transform the wind instruments or using motors, relays and electromagnets as vibrating sources. Works and sleeps in Vienna.

MARINA POLEUKHINA is composer, improviser and performer, graduated at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with V. Tarnopolski. From 2015 she studies at the Kunstuniversität Graz with C. Gadenstätter. She participates in many festivals such as: Platforma (Moscow), Gaudeamus Muziek Week (Utrecht), Multiversal (Berlin, Copenhagen), Path Festival (Verona), Pilot: Soundkarte (Berlin), Velak (Vienna). She played with Matthias Bauer, Alexander Chernyshkov (duo “O I O”), Dario Fariello, Kirill Shirokov (duo [t]), Hilary Jeffrey, Vladimir Gorlinsky, Hannes Dufek. She recorded several albums as „Puinen Neon Itku“, „Songs about trees“. Her music is played by ensembles like MCME (Moscow contemporary music ensemble), NADAR, Platypus, AIRBORNE EXTENDED, Nostri Temporis, Vertixe Sonora Ensemble, Pro Arte, Looptail, Zwerm E-Guitarquartet; musicians: Pete Harden, Susanna Borsch, Alexandra Topalidi, Ivan Bushuev. Some of her music is published on the label Pan y Rosas.
